This is not your traditional yoga retreat. It is building a complete framework of what it means to operate as a spiritual being dedicated to creating life affirming ripple effects. Below are some of the activities and themes you can expect to discover.
Explore an ancient indigenous medicinal space created to cleanse the body, connect with the womb of Mother Earth, purify the soul, and restore balance.
Traditional Zapotec meals that reflect the vibrant cultural heritage of Oaxaca’s territories. Experience Oaxaca’s rich mosaic of flavors crafted through centuries-old recipes that nourish the body and soul. Vegan and vegetarian options will also be available upon request.
Yoga, breathwork and meditation will be used to process new insights and facilitate the release of what no longer serves. With a combined 50 years of experience of facilitation in the yogic arts, Jade Wolf and Jessica Corbin will provide a profound container for systemic transformation.
During the rainy season at El Campanario, this mystical pine and oak forest transitions into a paradise of biodiversity. Our retreat immerses you with water, a vital element to the cycle of life within the forest. The damp forest floor becomes a fertile ground for networks to flourish.
A traditional ritual rooted in indigenous cosmovisions, we’ll indulge in cacao, a sacred offering to connect with the divine and seek spiritual guidance. Our ceremony strengthens our community promoting healing, profound introspection and connection with the territory.
At the heart of this retreat is cultural immersion within Oaxacan traditions. We invite the wisdom keepers in the forest to educate us on the medicinal herbs they use to heal their communities. We’ll visit a regenerative farm where we’ll learn about how to cultivate sustainable ways of living.
Arrive and experience the rich, delicious and colorful city of Oaxaca! Learn about the incredible history and current growth of this beautiful and unique place on earth and connect to friends and families who live there.
The clouded forests of San Mateo Río Hondo evoke a sense of mysticism. These dense pine and oak forests are where Zapotec peoples have been living and forging a deep regenerative connection to the land for centuries, cultivating the three sisters and treating illnesses with the medicinal herbs that grow in the territory. We venture into the forest during a time of profound transformations.
Rainy season is when fungal networks begin to flower and San Mateo Río Hondo is known worldwide for its mushroom biodiversity. These sacred forests will be our setting to forge connections to the lands, engaging in processes that regenerate and transform our body, mind and soul.
Connect deeply to the forest and to the people who live with, care for and steward the forest and all of her gifts. Visit a waterfall, eat from the land, sweat and experience a ritual of rebirth passed through generations to remind us of who we are and where we come from as children of the earth.
These practices form a powerful synergy, promoting physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance, leaving you feeling revitalized, centered, and ready to embrace life's journey with renewed energy and purpose.
Arrive back in the city with a new and refreshed connection to deep wisdom. Revitalized from our time in our forest community, bring this new sense of yourself as part of a vast network of consciousness back into your life and watch the ripples of change grow from a space of loving connection.
